Chilkab Nongsan Joins K-Rice Festa to Promote Korean Rice Consumption

Chilkab Nongsan (CEO: Lee Young-ju) announced on the 28th that it will participate in the “2025 Korean Rice & Traditional Liquor K-Rice Festa,” taking place from the 28th to 30th at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, where it will showcase a variety of processed rice-based foods.

Hosted and organized by NongHyup Agribusiness Group with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the event is one of Korea’s leading festivals dedicated to rice and traditional alcoholic beverages. It aims to expand consumption of domestically produced rice and invigorate the market for rice-processed foods. Visitors will be able to experience makgeolli and other traditional liquors brewed with Korean rice, along with a wide range of rice-based food products.

At the Chilkab Nongsan booth, visitors can sample “Ddokssal Tteokguk,” an instant rice cake soup that can be prepared in three minutes by simply adding hot water, as well as “Danpat Ssook,” a bite-sized dessert rice cake. The booth will also feature a broad selection of rice-processed products—such as tteokguk rice cakes, tteokbokki rice cakes, and rice noodles—introduced by Founder Lee Neung-gu on the EBS program “The Millionaire Next Door with Seo Jang-hoon.” The lineup offers visitors a chance to explore everything from a rice-based meal to snacks and desserts in one place.

Building on its rice-processing capabilities that have expanded the uses of Korean rice through products such as tteokguk rice cakes, tteokbokki rice cakes, and rice noodles, Chilkab Nongsan plans to use K-Rice Festa to introduce more consumers to new flavors and textures made possible with domestically produced rice. The company will also present products that apply patented rice-processing technologies—such as its alcohol-soaking method and molding-die design techniques—which Founder Lee has shared with the industry at no cost.​
