Ahead of the winter solstice, Chilkab Nongsan (CEO: Lee Young-ju) announced a special discount promotion featuring its convenience food product “Whole Red Bean Winter Solstice Patjuk 350 g.”

The Rural Development Administration has highlighted key nutrients found in red beans—such as vitamin B1, choline and saponins, and potassium—while encouraging broader uses beyond traditional porridge or sweet red bean paste, suggesting recipes such as “red bean pizza” and “red bean risotto.”

Aligned with this trend, Chilkab Nongsan launched “Whole Red Bean Winter Solstice Patjuk,” emphasizing the hearty texture of whole red beans and offering an easy way to enjoy traditional patjuk at home. The product contains a generous amount of red beans to maximize texture, and adopts a “slow food” concept—simmered gently over low heat for an extended time rather than cooked under high temperature and pressure—to preserve both flavor and nutrition. Preparation is simple: pour into a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for an additional 1–2 minutes.
